A soothing probiotic rich face mask.

The Ingredients
French Pink Clay: a nutrient rich kaolin clay that is perfect for sensitive skin. It gently exfoliates, stimulates blood circulation and draws out impurities. Because it doesn’t dry out the skin, it works great to soothe sensative skin as a lot of clays I’ve tried, leave my face feeling red and raw, this mask leaves mine feeling soft and glowy.
I buy my French pink Clay online at French pink Clay .
Greek Yogurt: regular yogurt is fine too but we are adding some liquid so the thicker the yogurt, the better. Plain yogurt is full of good bacteria and lactic acid that aids as a gentle astringent on the face. Anything with good bacteria is wonderful for the skin to promote a healthy “well fed” skin barrier.
Rice Water: if I have rice soaking in my fridge for supper then I will just skim off what I need for this recipe. If you don’t have rice water then if your yogurt has whey settling on it, gently scoop out the amount of liquid you need or just use water. Rice water is full of B vitamins and soothes and brightens skin.
Honey: ever since I watched this video where Dr. Berg talks about feeding the microbiome of the skin to keep it healthy, Ive been finding all the ways to add raw honey to my handmade skincare products. The honey feels very soothing too and adds to the moisturizing properties of this mask.
Geranium Essential Oil: this not only has a lovely floral scent but geranium is said to help balance hormones. This is one of my favorite essential oils for its incredible multipurpose benefits. You can read more about geranium essential oul here.
The Recipe

1 TBSP French Pink Clay
1 TBSP Greek Yogurt or Yogurt
1 TBS Rice Water or Whey or Water
2 Drops Honey (just eyeball this until you get a nice consistency)
5 Drops Geranium Essential Oil

Place the clay, yogurt and honey in a bowl and whisk.

Add the liquid and essential oil amd whisk until combined and there are no lumps.

Scoop it into a clean glass jar and store in the fridge, I would say maybe good about a week, but between myself and my daughters we use this within a few days.
Spread it on clean skin and allow to dry, about 10-15 minutes before gently washing off. I use this on my hair wash days so I can rinse it off in the shower.

It’s always a great idea to moisturize regularly and especially after a detoxifying exfoliating face mask. Try my Whipped Beauty Balm for a post face mask moisturizing glow.

Enjoy!
Warmest Blessings,
Ashley
